"This is our signature red wine and best-known label. The wine is produced from grapes grown entirely in the northern Willamette Valley, with the same 'light touch' winemaking as our Single Vineyard wines. Flavors of red and black cherry fruits predominate, and there's a hint of ginger spice. The wine is medium bodied, with a long finish and soft tannins." - winery website
Notes:
I really enjoyed this wine last night-it's a perfect blend of fruit and a hint of oak right at the end. I would recommend it highly-the $22 price tag is not bad at all. I'll probably never see it again at Costco.
"Inky ruby in color, the 2003 Premier Cuvée opens with complex aromas of black fruit liqueur, currants and cherries, exotic spice box, clove & violets. The palate is broad and generously offers up layered flavors of cherries, blue fruits, cocoa and spice enveloped in succulent, creamy tannins. The wine is concentrated with a rich and persistent finish. This elegant, balanced Pinot Noir is ready to be enjoyed now or may be cellared for up to eight years." - winery website
